Oh I have not had time to post for the last 2 weeks and I am so far behind! Here are the updates and its gonna be a long one.
Camping
Reagan and Scott had their annual camping trip at Moss Wright (a local park). She looks forward to this all year. Every year they go there are more and more of her friends there. This year there were 4 other families there that she knew. Daddy had to set the tent up all by himself because they went off to play.
There were hotdogs and smores around the fire.
And a parent had a great idea to bring those light up necklaces. They had a great time with them even using them for swords.
Then Grant and his friends started a dog pile. I was a minute late and one kid had rolled off. Poor kid on the bottom. :-(
A friends birthday party
The day after the camp out the kids got an invite to birthday party with a fishing theme at a local park.
Then they got to play on the playground with their friends.
Carpet people
We have been having issues with our carpet only in the hallway. When we moved in there 18 months ago we had new carpet put throughout the house. In the hallway it has been pulling up and they keep telling us to cut the loose strands eventually there is a hole there like this one.
They have been up to fix it 3 times now and said they won't come again because they think our dogs are doing it. Our 11-12 year old dogs that have lived in 7 houses/apartments and have done this before... Scott called the manager and they are suppose to come out again soon and fix it. If we end up having to pay someone to do it it sure won't be them!

A Sunday with 5 kids
We were watching Katy's 3 kids this Sunday for a few hours while she had a church dinner at her house. This is the first time I have watched Jackson so we were trying to be prepared, but didn't quite make it. Jackson didn't want me to put him down unless I was gonna let him crawl up the stairs. Toward the end of the evening he let Scott hold him and even sat on his lap to watch a toon.
Scott says he doesn't want another baby, but he falls right into that role when there is a baby around. We played outside to try and keep our house from being a disaster.
Our kids love her kids. Here is Reagan and Lily. This picture cracks me up because it looks like a prom photo.
Grant and Sophie (or Soapy as he calls her) love each other too.
And then she taught him to fall out of bed like this.
After showers for Reagan and Lily we settled down for some toons before Katy came to get them.
Well we really did decide that we were not meant to be parents of 5 children especially if they are all 5 and under! We were tired when they left and we put our kids to bed.

First soccer games on Saturday
Reagan had her first game at 10am and Grant's was right after at 10:30. Reagan was a bit nervous and I think Scott was too since it was his first time coaching. She did a great job staying with the ball and even got some kicks in. Her team won 6-1. Here is a pic of the coaches circle.
On the way to the game we asked Grant "How many goals are you gonna score?" He said "Three goals" and we laughed. You know what that booger did? He scored 3 goals! I videotaped the game so I only got a picture of the coaches huddle with him too.

After the games they had their snacks. Here they are with daddy.
After the games and a nap we went for a 3 mile walk at the greenway here in Hendersonville. Here are some pics.
After watching a teenage girls soccer game at the park they wanted to play on the bridge. This was Reagan's idea.

Some funny things
The kids are really into smurfs right now. Grant calls this one "My ping pong smurf".
It's really vanity smurf, but he thinks the mirror looks like a ping pong paddle.
Grant also calls eyeballs, eyesballs. :-) He talks about the dogs eyesballs all the time.
Reagan said she was the only one in her class that wears glasses and I told her that made her special. She said "it does? Do I get a prize for that?" :-)
Reagan has been making a lot of artwork at school. She was supposed to make a self portrit and this is what we got.
This is her and her friend Matt. They are blue because they are swimming in the water. Those are her orange gobbles (goggles).
This one we were so proud of because she NEVER puts this much work on any drawing. This is her playing under a rainbow on the playground.

Thomas and fishing.
Today we went to see Thomas the Train.
The kids were so excited to go on a real train ride. It was all of 25mins at 10 miles per an hour. Grant was over it about 1/2 way through. Reagan loved it.
They LOVED seeing Thomas though...
And they had a lot of little activities for them to do that were a hit.
After nap we went fishing again. Since it was over 90 degrees we only stayed for about an hour but that was enough for the kids.
Daddy caught his second fish ever.
Reagan wanted to touch it this time.
But she still loved the worms best.
