For vacation this year we went to Ohio to visit family and to go to Kings Island. We got up here on Friday and went to Michele's wedding on Saturday. Both kids were so excited to attend a wedding. Reagan's friends had both recently went to one and told her they were fun. The wedding was outside and it was about 95 degrees so it was pretty short. Reagan said "That's all?" I don't really know what she was expecting. They enjoyed the reception a lot though. There was a candy bar and they were absolutely crazy about being able to pick out a bunch of candy on their own. When Reagan first went up there though she didn't know she could get whatever she wanted so she brought back her box with one sucker in it. I told her she could fill the box so she went back up, but only brought about 5 things back that time. We ended up going up with her so she could fill it up. They both had a great time with the dancing. Grant was shaking his booty to everything and Reagan finally worked up enough courage to dance with her cousins (Anna and Alyssa). They were so wore out when we got home, even with all the candy they ate, that they went straight to bed.
On Sunday we just stayed around Mom's house and played with Vicki's kids. Grant and AJ finally play together and have started wrestling. Sammi seems to have a bit of a crush on Grant and follows him around.
On Monday we went to Grandma's. Grant says he loves to go to Great Grandma's because she has lots of cookies at her house. Of course after lunch she let him have 2 cookies each.
On Tuesday we went to Mt. Pleasant in Lancaster. Scott says it's not really a mountain because it's only 250ft high, but we are limited on mountains here and we call it a mountain. There was a threat of rain all day, but we decided to give it a chance. We got up the mountain, which the kids climbed the whole way without complaining. Being 6 months pregnant I had a bit harder time than they did. We all made it to the top though and they were so excited about being able to see the whole city.
We didn't get to stay at the top very long though because it started getting dark and the wind started blowing hard. Half way down the mountain it started pouring so we didn't get to play on the nice playground there. Knowing that we had drove them 30 minutes down there we had to improvise so we took them to the River Valley Mall in Lancaster where they could play on the inside playground and have lunch.
They said that this was their favorite part of the day. When we got home it was time for nap, but Grant fought it for while. When he finally went to sleep he didn't want to wake up.
He was so mad about having to nap that he threw all his blankets off and tired to not sleep.

A few goings on
Last week was so bad with Grant. He doesn't like change very much and now we are completely in shorts season so all his favorite shorts are not always clean. He just wants to wear his sweat pant shorts and refuses everything else. I spent all week holding him down to dress him and it's not easy to hold down 38lbs of screaming kid while pregnant! He's doing a little better this week. We decided to go with "you wear what mommy picks out or you wear your pj's all day." He's not happy about it, but it's been a bit easier. Reagan also moved up to her new room last week, so we don't know if he's been having problems with that too. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse as we get all the baby stuff out and move it to Reagan's old room...
Next week is Reagan's last week of kindergarten. I'm feeling sad about that. :-( I can't believe she is going to be a first grader! She's pretty excited about it though.
Next Friday we are leaving for vacation. We are going to Ohio to Michelle's wedding, to Snoopy Land at Kings Island, and the Columbus zoo. The kids are so excited. We are feeling a little exhausted by the thought of it already. :-)
This baby is such a mover. I don't remember Reagan or Grant ever moving this much. Not only does it move randomly all day long, but from about 8pm-midnight every night it's moving non-stop. I hope it slows down before it gets much bigger or I am going to be very uncomfortable toward the end.
Last weekend we had a big sleepover. Two of Reagan's friends (Julia and Lily) and their sisters (Emily and Sophie) that just happen to be Grant's best friends. Everyone thought we were crazy having three 6-year-olds and three 3-year-olds. I have to say it was loud in our house, very loud, but they were not that bad! We had pizza for dinner, decorated sleepover shirts, played volleyball in the backyard, and took a walk. When we were walking around the neighborhood anyone who was outside stopped to look at us like we were a parade. I guess it's not everyday that you see 6 little kids walking down the street. I don't think I was ever meant to have 6 kids or triplets because I would go insane! :-)
Everyone slept well. Grant and Sophie talked for about 15-20 minutes, but went right to sleep after that. Reagan came down and got in our bed at 11pm. She had a fever, but by morning she was fine. On Sunday though Grant woke up with a sore throat and Sophie got a sore on her face. After we took them both to the dr we found out that Grant had strep and Sophie had impetigo from strep. Reagan must have had it, but with no symptoms. I guess that's what happens when you get 6 kids together with all their germs. All in all everything we went well and all the kids had a great time. Grant even let Sophie and Emily sleep the whole night in his room even though they got his room messy. We were surprised and so proud of him.

My silly kids!
Right now Grant is OBSESSED with Candy Land! . He likes other games and will play them, but for the last 2 weeks we have had to play Candy Land every day.
Grant had his field day at school last week and had a great time. They got to throw water balloons which was his favorite part and he couldn't quit talking about it. Reagan's field day is this Friday and she is just as excited. Mostly because of the tug-of-war competition. A tug-of-war between kindergarten classes seems very funny to me so Grant and I are going to go watch it.
I never did get to write this because we were not out yet about the pregnancy... When we told Reagan I was pregnant we showed her the ultrasound picture and she was so excited and went right to school the next day and told her class and her teacher. Well a few days later I come to find out that along with telling them I was having a baby she also told them that "our baby is going to be black." She was very proud and excited to be having a black baby. Come to find out she didn't understand the ultrasound picture and since it was grey/black that was what she thought our baby really looked like. :-)
We have been waiting on the inspections for Reagan's room for a week now. The kids love playing up there, but we can't put anything in the room until it's passed. The kids found the sleeping bags though and they have been playing camping in there. Also if you ask them what their favorite part of the room is both of them will tell you the closet. What the closet? Yes they go in there with toys and sleeping bags and hang out for hours. I don't understand because the room itself is pretty big.

Ultrasound
Last week (Thursday, April 26th) we had our 20 week ultrasound. We were very excited to see the little one again even though I have been feeling it move for weeks. We took Reagan out of school that day so that she could go with us. This was very exciting for her until we got there and they were running 40 minutes behind on their appointments. Then she thought it was boring and we were never going to get out of there. :-)
When we finally got back there the tech spent about 30 minutes looking over the baby's body. We kept telling Reagan what everything was, but she was most interested in the head because she said it looked like a bowling ball. I drank some tea while we were waiting and the baby was wiggling all over. It's little hands were going crazy and it kept jumping with its legs. Scott liked that because he hasn't gotten to feel it yet even though it moves ALL the time. I think it definitely moves more than Reagan or Grant did. This baby is laying completely across my stomach also, with it's head right behind my belly button.
After that 30 minutes she spent another 30 minutes looking at a heart echo. We have to do this since Grant has a heart defect. They sent a report to my doctor, which we went to right after. The doctor said that they could not see all 4 chambers of the heart on the echo or some of the brain structures. We have to go back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks so that they can get better pictures. Our doctor told us not to worry that these things are very hard to see at 20 weeks. At least we get to see him/her again!
No we didn't find out the sex of the baby and that is why I have to keep calling it "it". Scott wanted to know, but decided to let me have my way since he didn't have a compelling argument as to why we needed to find out. Reagan was disappointed because she wanted to know. Her and Grant are wanting a boy so bad, but I figure once the baby is here boy or girl they are going to be too excited to care.

It's been too long
It has been too long since I blogged last. Everyone knows now, but I haven't said it on here... I'm 20 weeks pregnant. So I have been sick/tired to do much blogging. We are all really excited, even the kids. :-) Thursday is our ultrasound and Reagan gets to go with us. She's so excited even though she has no idea what is actually going to happen.
Reagan's getting her new room built upstairs to make room for the baby. This week we are just waiting for inspections and this weekend we should be able to get her all moved in. We are hoping she's going to be ok with the change and not whining about being up there by herself. She does keep asking us why she has to live in the attic. We told her she doesn't have to and that Grant or the baby can have that room, but she doesn't want that since the room is much larger than the other two.
Grant got his room redone too. We changed the airplanes to balls. Even though balls are his most favorite thing in the world we were afraid he wouldn't like the change. He took it pretty well though. We had to talk about it a lot, but he was very happy.

The holidays make me crazy!
I know I am a little behind on this. It has been a crazy month!
Thanksgiving was great, we went to Scott's mom's house and then came home to decorate the tree. We did all the work because the kids found all the Christmas books when Scott brought out the decorations.
They did help with some ornaments and loved to look at the finished product.
During break we also went to Monkey Joe's (a bouncy place) with Diana and her kids. As you can tell I took this picture at the end when they were all sweaty and Grant was soaking wet from "drinking" from the water fountain.
I tried to take pictures of the kids for Christmas cards. Grant didn't really think it was a good idea so he wouldn't help. Reagan wanted too, but she just kept being a goofball.
I made the kids a tree out of felt with felt ornaments that they could decorate themselves. It took a lot of work, but they liked it. I went ahead and made one for Vicki's kids too.
Grant had a program for his school. His class only sang one song. I thought it was amazing to get six 3 year olds to sing one song at the same time. Well they didn't sing all the song, but it was still really cute. They were suppose to wear a Santa hat, but of course Grant wouldn't. His teacher asked if he was afraid of hats because he was so adamant. I told her that he must consider that a clothing item and for some reason it is not ok with him.
Scott's work had their Christmas party at the Predators hockey game. The kids were so excited and talked about it all day. When we got there Grant was mesmerized by the guys practicing on the ice and Reagan was loving all the food available. Then a big saber tooth tiger head came down to the ice for the players to skate out of. Grant lost it and was scared have to death. We only got to stay for 1 1/2 periods and that took bribing him with a new hockey stick and a puck. He sat there the whole time holding on to my arm. Here he is with the stick and puck.
The next day when we talked to him about it and asked him if he liked the hockey game he said "yes, but the tiger balloon was scary. No more hockey games. Me want to go to football game." Reagan got to be on the big screen eating cotton candy and got so excited. The game was "free", but after parking, souvenirs, and cotton candy we spent $60 at that free game. I told Scott he can go with his friends when he wants, but it's gonna be a while before I take Grant again.

Thanksgiving lunch at Reagan's school
Reagan had a Thanksgiving lunch at her school Friday. She really wanted daddy to come and Grandma decided to come also. Grant and I weren't going to go, but after talking about it for a week Grant kept insisting "me have lunch at Reagan's school." So Daddy, Mommy, Grant and Grandma headed to Reagan's lunch for school. She was so happy to see all of us, but then maybe wishing we wern't there? She wanted to eat the cake first and not eat the rest of the food, but we made her. :-) Here's a picture...
