4th of July

We all know the 4th is mine and Scott's anniversary. This one made 11 years! This year we decided to do  something sans kids. Scott's mom offered to keep them overnight. After silently giggling because she has no idea what she's getting into with Grant we readily accepted.  For our anniversary Scott bought us tickets to a concert. Who you ask? Well none other than 80's rock hair bands, Motley Crue and Poison! We dropped the kids off at Grandma's and headed downtown to my favorite restaurant, the Melting Pot. Afterward we walked to the concert. It was an amazing show and we loved it. Poision sounded great and Motley Crue put on an amazing light show. This picture does not do it justice...

After the concert we went to my favorite bar, Cadillac Ranch. I know I don't drink, but I do have a favorite bar. Every time I have been in there someone is dancing all crazy and it cracks me up. It just has a great atmosphere. It was a late night for these old people so we slept in a little the next morning before we went to get the kids.

We got to Grandma's at 10am. When we walked in we could see how tired Grandma looked. She said that Grant woke up poopy at 3am. She got up and changed him. She said she tried everything she could think of, but could not get him back to sleep until 5am. Reagan slept through the whole thing. Grant only slept for an hour and woke everyone up for good at 6am. Everyone was really tired. When we got them home they went to bed for nap. We had to wake them both up after 4 hours! Scott had been telling Grant that this needed to go well since I was Grant's first time sleeping over. I don't think Grant listened.

Since Reagan is afraid of fireworks we didn't even try to go see them. Maybe next year...
