So we knew it was gonna happen because he has gotten out of the playpen before...Grant learned how to get out of the crib. He got out one night, in the middle of the night and got all the way to our room and climbed into our bed. We didn't even hear him. We decided that he was gonna have to go into a big boy bed because we didn't want to risk him getting hurt. So just a few weeks after he lost this bed for getting out and goofing off, Scott had to bring it back down from the attic. He was so happy. He does come out right after we put him to bed but after putting him back a time or two he goes to sleep. We did have to turn around the lock on his door because he knows how to open the child locks (which Reagan can't do). When we go to bed we lock the door so can't get out.
At nap the other day I went in to get him up. I unlocked the door and opened it only to hit Grant in the head. During nap he had gotten up, turned on the light, and laid down with his flower turtleneck blanky behind the door. A couple times at bedtime we have seen the light go on and also hit him with the door when we go in and he has his pillow or stuffed animal (a sheep) behind the door.
When he moved to the big boy bed he decided he needed a pillow and chose this pink princess pillow. It has all 5 princesses on it. He loves it. He does sleep with a lot of things; that princess pillow, the turtleneck blanky, a winky (receiving blanket), a blanket, a ball pillowcase that came with his sheets and comforter, the comforter, and the sheep. And of course they each belong in certain place.
Here he is on his first night...
